man,” exclaims Raashi Khanna, speaking to Hyderabad Times from the sets of her next, Prathi Roju Pandage. The humidity notwithstanding, shooting in the scenic locales of East Godavari has been a blast, shares the actress.

“It is so beautiful here. We’ve been shooting for the last one week and it has been great fun shooting for this,” says Raashi, who is reuniting with her Supreme co-star
Sai Dharam Tej again in the film directed by Maruthi.

Touted to be a romantic entertainer, the film will have Raashi playing a “Rajahmundry ammayi.” Talking about her character, she says, “I play a spunky Rajahmundry girl who’s obsessed with

TikTok

videos. She’s a star in her head and carries herself with flair and confidence,” says Raashi, adding, “I had to step out of my comfort zone to play this role because I’m completely the opposite in real life. I don’t spend much time on social media at all, so for me to play a character who only wants to watch TikTok videos, was like stepping into unchartered territory. But I loved it nonetheless.”

It’s a character that will leave the audience in splits she says. “In fact, I laughed out loud just while reading the script. This is my first comic role after Supreme and I had great fun. It’s going to be a laugh riot all the way,” Raashi adds.
