Team SOUL wins PUBG India Mobile Series in dramatic showdown in Hyderabad

In what is being touted as one of the biggest tournaments in Indian mobile gaming history, the

India Mobile Series came to an exciting finish at the GMC Balayogi Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad on Sunday. There was a display of thrilling gameplay and strategy as 80 players from 20 teams across the country took part in the Grand Finals on Sunday, where a whopping Rs 1 crore was distributed as prize money.

who took away the honours, finishing in pole position and winning a prize money of Rs 30 lakh. Led by Mumbai-based

, Team Soul managed to overcome stiff competition. Team God’s Reign finished on second position, winning prize money of Rs 10 lakh while Team Funkey Monkey also got a podium finish, completing the tournament on third position and taking home prize money of Rs 5 lakh.

Team SOUL, which has four youngsters – Naman Mathur, Mohammad Owais, Yash Soni and Ronak – also won the title of ‘The Exterminators’ for most number of kills (49), taking home an additional prize money of Rs 50,000.

The tournament, which began on January 21, was played in three rounds. After a round of qualifiers, online play-offs were conducted February 10 to 24, following which 20 teams were shortlisted for the Grand Finals on Sunday.
