, recently. The couple’s official roka ceremony took place at a star hotel in Mumbai in the presence of their family and friends. When we contacted the actor, an elated Kabir said, “I am very happy right now and everything feels just perfect. At 32, I believe this is the right time and age to settle down. Even Dolly ki family mujhe pasand karti hain, to humne socha roka kar lete hai. Since both of us are Jatts (Punjabi), it was a full Punjabi-style ceremony. Of late, I’ve been doing well on
the work front and I feel she’s lucky for me. And now that she’s officially mine forever, I hope the luck continues,” he said.
Reminiscing how they first met and fell in love, he said, “We’ve known each other for over five years now. We first met in Mumbai when one of my close friends, Preety, came to pick me up for the gym with her. Pretty introduced me as a model and an aspiring actor to Dolly. This was before I made my acting debut in Tollywood with Jil.”
He added, “After that we continued to keep in touch and became friends. Soon, we started going to the gym together and gradually love blossomed. You would be surprised to know that neither of us proposed to the other — it just happened. May be because we knew we were in love and ready to take out relationship to the next level.”
Kabir however, informed that marriage have to wait for a while as they both are busy with their respective professional commitments. “I have a Bollywood movie lined-up and then I’m going to sign a big Telugu project. Then there are three Kannada films plus a Tamil film with Vishal. And since Dolly too has a few projects coming up, we’ve decided to tie the knot next year — may be sometime by June or July,” he said, signing off.
