Talking to Hyderabad Times upon her arrival, Manasa said, “It feels surreal to have won the crown. I cannot describe how good it feels. This journey was not easy at all. I’ve have my fair share of ups and downs through it all. To be back home to share this moment with my family means a lot.” Taking a pause to think about what she looks forward to, now that she’s back home, Manasa added, “The thing I missed the most is my ammama’s khaana. I look forward to giving her a huge hug and eating lots of homemade food.”
Manasa’s parents initially had reservations about her taking part in the pageant. “My grandmother minced no words when she told me she’s not happy with the decision of me taking part in the pageant. But over the course of my journey, her and my parents became by biggest cheerleaders.”
