When Shashi Tharoor got a taste of true Hyderabadi mehwaan nawazi

When socialite Sherry Javeri hosted a dinner do for her friend and politician Shashi Tharoor at her residence, she made sure to pull out all the traditional recipe books and offer a delectable spread for the guests.

and socialities —the dinner was a lavish affair.

The

12-course meal

had an array of dishes for both the vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Tunes of hits from the 60s and 70s era filled the air as the guests tucked into the scrumptious meal.

“We invited musician Jeru to sing only classics for Shashi as he loves them. His favourite song is Delilah by Tom Jones,” said Javeri.

The party went on till late in the evening as the guests chatted away while digging into spoonfuls of dessert after the meal.
