‘Yes, I’m in love and ready to get married’

Ever since Raj Tarun let it out that he will go in for a “love marriage” and that he will introduce his girl to the world “very soon”, in an Ask Me Anything session on his social media page, fans have been itching to know more. The Kumari 24 F actor however, has remained tight-lipped ever since. When Hyderabad Times caught up with him recently though, we managed to get him to open up about his love story. Speaking about his lady love for the very first time, Raj Tarun tells us, “We’ve been in love for the past six years. But my girl isn’t from the film industry. She’s an entrepreneur from

.” But do what you may, Raj Tarun will just not reveal her name. “You see, she’s a simple Telugu girl and doesn’t like all this attention. I respect that and that’s the reason we decided kept it a secret all this while.”
So, when and where did they meet? “Well, we first met six years ago on my birthday in Vizag. We clicked instantly and stayed in touch since then. that’s how our love story started. now, it feels like we’ve known each other forever (laughs).” Apparently, the 27-year-old is ready for marriage as well. “yes, I am! We’re in love, so why not?” he asks.
“In fact, our parents too have given us a green signal. she gets along very well with my folks. If you ask me, I’ve been ready to get hitched for a while now; it’s just that she’s delaying (laughs). That said, we plan to tie the knot next year for sure, unless of course, she wants to do it sooner,” quips Raj Tarun. His 2015 sleeper hit Kumari 21 F made news for some steamy kissing scenes between him and co-star Hebbah Patel, and later, there were reports that claimed the two were an item as well. How does his lady love deal with all this? “Well, she’s fine with it because she knows it’s all part of my work. I am just acting. And she’s confident that I’ll never cheat on her,” says Raj. Meanwhile, on the work front, he is currently working on GR Krishna’s Iddari Lokam Okate opposite Arjun reddy actress Shalini Pandey. “It’s a love story. I play a photographer and the character is the total opposite of what I am in real life.
