Based on a story taken from the epic,

Mahabharata

, the play showed how Pandu offers his beautiful wives Kunti and Madri to the gods for ‘Niyoga’, without any remorse or guilt, merely to possess a son. While another character, Dhritarashtra is equally obsessed for power and has a hundred sons.
