During the one-and-half-hour performance, Malavika and her troupe explored the relation between dancing and weaving. Malavika believes that coordination, rhythm, measurement and design are intrinsic to both. Kanjivaram saris were used as a part of the stage background, to create an atmosphere apt for the dance performance.
The dancers’ performance left Jaipurites in awe. Present in the audience was culturist Sundeep Bhutoria. Talking to JT, Bhutoria said, “Navras is another feather to the Jaipur’s cultural scene.

Jawahar Kala Kendra

is now becoming what it should, only a bit more of Rajasthan must be added to this institution.”
