Cinema enthusiasts learn the nuances of film making
The ongoing
Film Appreciation Course
atJawahar Kala Kendra
is witnessing immense enthusiasm from over 30 participants across India. Being held in collaboration withFilm and Television Institute of India
(FTII), Pune, the course is apprising the candidates with knowledge about Indian and International Cinema.The ten-day workshop will include guest lectures, seminars, discussions, workshops, and screening of films and documentaries. The workshop will conclude on January 20. The appreciation course is curated by the alumnus of FTII, Munish Bhardwaj, who is recognised for his immense contribution to the critically acclaimed movie ‘Ankhon Dekhi’. He has also written for TV series such as ‘Bhanwar’, ‘Rajdhani’ and ‘Hadsa’. In the course he is deliberating on analysing a film, film appreciation and various aspects of the development of cinematic language, among other things. Screening of various documentary short films is also being held. The participants are then introduced to the technical aspects and aesthetics of the screened film. They will also be acquainted with the nuances of direction, scriptwriting as well as art direction.
