JKK echoes with ghazals of Rajab Ali Bharti and legendary Mehdi Hassan

was echoing with beautiful sufi music and ghazals sung by renowned musician

on Friday evening. Belonging to the Senia gharana of music, the nine time All India Light Music Competition winner won the hearts of the audience as he sung some of his beautiful compositions at the ghazal concert.


Among his compositions were ghazals like 'Has ke bola karo, bulaya karo, aapka ghar hai aaya jaaya karo' written by shayar Abdul Hameed Adam, 'Dil lagaya hai jo humne kisi se, dur hona pada zindagi se' written by shayar Dagh Dehlvi and 'Dil-e-naadaan tujhe hua kya hai, aakhir iss dard ki dua kya hai' written by Ghalib.

, also performed a few ghazal hits of Mehdi Hasan like 'Ranjish hi sahi' and 'Aaj Jaane ki zid na karo' for the music lovers. The singer was accompanied by Amir Salim on tabla, Sanjay Kumar on guitar and Mohhammad Faizan Khan on keyboard.

Rajab Ali expressed that ghazal is an evergreen genre of music and that he is happy to see even the youth becoming more intrigued towards it.
