Rajasthan Royals players and coach interact with students in Jaipur

A unique 'Rajasthan Royals Meet and Greet' event hosted at the Poornima University turned out to be an exhilarating experience for the students. During the event, the team's Head Coach, Kumar Sangakkara—along with players Nandre Burger, Dasun Shanaka, Ravi Bishnoi, and Tushar Deshpande—interacted with nearly 3,000 students.

Amidst an atmosphere brimming with enthusiasm, the team members and university management unveiled the Rajasthan Royals' 'Pink Promise' jersey, a symbol of the team's social initiatives. At the ceremony, the university's chairperson Shashikant Singhi, advisor Renu Singhi, and president Dr. Suresh Chandra Padhy welcomed all the guests by presenting them with traditional Rajasthani turbans.

As the players took the stage, the students greeted them with a resounding round of applause. Many students attended the event wearing the team's jersey and waving flags, creating a stadium-like atmosphere within the campus. An interactive 'Rapid Fire' round proved to be the most thrilling segment for the fans, during which students engaged in a lively Q&A session with the players. The cricketers motivated the students by sharing their personal experiences, struggles, and most memorable moments. A 'ball-signing and throwing' activity further enlivened the atmosphere. Players also tossed autographed cricket balls into the crowd, sparking immense excitement among the students as they vied to catch them. Finally, during the 'Speedster Showcase,' the players took to the pitch to bowl at the stumps—an experience that proved memorable not only for the students but for the players as well. All in all, this 'Meet and Greet' program turned out to be an unforgettable experience for the students and faculty members, offering them the opportunity to get up close with their favorite players.
