Women poets' mushaira organised on Women's Day in Jaipur

Celebrating International Women’s Day, a unique women poets’ mushaira was organised by Rajasthan Urdu Academy at Ravindra Manch in Jaipur. As many as 16 poetesses, including three from Jaipur, participated in the event and enthralled the audience with their shero-shayari and poem recitation.

Most of the nazms (poems) presented by the poetesses attracted applause from the audience, accompanied by ‘wah wah’ and ‘bahut khoob’.Art and culture minister B D Kalla was the chief guest at the event.

The participants included poetesses such as Dr Kirti Kale, Alina Itrat, Dr Nusrat Mehdi, Saba Balrampuri, Siya Sachdev, Hina Taimuri, Foziya Rabab, Shabana Shabnam, Ranjana Singh Haya, Deepshikha Sagar, Meet Banarasi, Dr Zeenat Kaifi, Malka Naseem, Tajwar Sultana among others. A huge gathering of people, including women, youngsters and senior citizens attended the mushaira.
