Artist Jesna Jamal’s expo ‘Elements’ at Durbar Hall Art Gallery

The event was inaugurated on February 10 by Renji Panicker.
According to the artist, her works try to show how various elements of human life can be portrayed on canvas. “Acrylic is the medium I have chosen and my core theme is chair. For a human being, a chair is always a necessity. It always shows what you are, where you are, where you can sit. So in my work, I am trying to show different levels of human lives, through chair.” She says that even through different number of chairs placed in a setting, we can decipher the nature of encounters there. Pointing at a work that features the last supper, Jesna says, “I feel minimalism would be the best way to showcase simple emotions and simple gestures. So in each of my works, it is shown how one can adapt to minimalism.” The show is on till February 15.
In the year 2019, the artist had showcased her maiden show titled ‘Prey,’ which had featured about 10 of her paintings in acrylic and oil.

, who is also an engineer and blogger, is the founder and editor at art platforms like Creative Designs and Fine Art Blogger. She is an alumnus of Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering and Technology. She hails from Thrissur and is also a former faculty of M E S Asmabi College and Government Engineering College, Thrissur.In the year 2019, the artist had showcased her maiden show titled ‘Prey,’ which had featured about 10 of her paintings in acrylic and oil.
