Shahu Smarak Bhavan

, screened various Iranian films like Bleeding Heart (2008), Hello Mumbai (2016), Under The Smoky Roof (2015), Human Comedy (2016) and Bench Cinema (2015) which have been directed by contemporary

Iranian directors

in the recent times. The Iranian Film Festival focused on the film culture of contemporary Iran and social aspects of the Iranian society and audience were seen appreciating the films. Sub-titles were arranged for these so that the audience could understand the language. Throughout the world, revolutionary films have begun in Iran since 1997. In the shadow of terrorism, the cultural world of Iran, under the jurisdiction of the political restrictions, the films that await them were created and many directors brought the revolutionary face of Iran's film to Iran's cultural identity. To add to this, the movie was preceded by a panel discussion on ‘Understanding Iranian Cinema' by film enthusiasts.
