A truly musical bash!

Friday Night Live has kickstarted the New Year with a jazz special. And Kendraka Sextet set the stage for a musical evening at Big Ben, New Kenilworth Hotel.
Percussionist Ratul Shankar, who was there as well, said that he was invited to be a guest performer by Bumpy (Mainak Nag Chowdhury) and Bodhisattva. “Bumpy and I jam together for Taaltantra. So, naturally, I share quite a close bond with him.It was a pleasure to have performed for him,” said Ratul, adding, “I played Cagon, Conga and Ibo Djembe. I had a blast.” And so did the spectators, who assembled at the do.
