Schoolkids shine bright on Tolly turf
The Tollygunge Club recently hosted the 15th Eastern India inter-school golf tournament. Around 200 kids from 20 different schools in the city participated in the tournament. There were a few kids from Jamshedhpur and Shillong as well.

Indrajit Bhalotia, the director of the tournament, said, “This golf tournament attracts the maximum interest of all the schoolkids in the city.

It’s the largest junior golf tournament in India and has always been the flagship junior event at the Tollygunge Club. The participants are all aged between six and 18. It is great to see the enthusiasm among the kids.”

The two-day golf event was followed by a gala prize distribution ceremony on the final day. Some of the winners in different categories of the tournament were Akshansh Modi, Anaahat Bindra, Anamika Chakraborty, Dishika Bansal, Samaira Bhabdari, Prashant Agarwal, Gurmeher Bindra, Yashodhara Bhalotia, Tarushi Jain, Rakshik Basu, Arush Tagore and others.
