Sourav Ganguly inaugurates Kolkata's sports showroom

He has always been an inspiration for cricketers in Bengal. At the inauguration of a city sports showroom recently, Sourav Ganguly was seen encouraging ex-Bengal player Avik Chowdhury, whose cricket career came to an end after an accident.
Former Bengal cricketer Utpal Chatterjee was present at the do along with ex-India skipper Jhulan Goswami. A new range of cricket bats and balls was also launched as a mark of encouragement for Avik.
Talking on the occasion, Jhulan said, “Avik was a very promising cricketer and it is sad that he is unable to play anymore. He will be remembered by the budding cricketers through the new range of products.”
