The premiere of
Brahma Janen Gopon
Kommoti, which was held at
Nandan
on Friday, was a star-studded affair. Even 10 minutes into the screening,
guests
continued to pour in. Debutant director
Aritra Mukhopadhyay
was seen playing the perfect host. Talking about the film, lead actress Ritabhari Chakraborty said, “With International Women’s Day here, there couldn’t have been a better occasion than this to release a film that talks about breaking taboos associated with women.”
Soham Majumdar, the lead actor, was mobbed by fans outside the hall. Carefully managing the
dhoti
that he paired with a red embroidered kurta, Soham politely obliged the guests with selfies. He told us, “We have put our heart and soul into the film. Now, it’s up to the audience to judge. I have received positive feedback till now. Let’s see how it goes.”
