Keeping it short!

It was an afternoon well spent for plant lovers in the city when a Bonsai camp and exhibition was organised at a city club, recently.
A total of 28 bonsais were exhibited in more than 20 varieties including Ficusmicro Carpa, Wax malpigia, Premna, Casurrina and Yellow Kamini Acacia. “The main aim of setting up this camp is to give people proper knowledge about bonsais and to introduce them to various varieties of plants. There are a lot of people who love to keep a bonsai, but do not have proper knowledge to maintain it,” said

The highlight of the camp was an hour-long demonstration by Santosh and Rama Maigon on how to shape a bonsai and provide due care to them. “This is like meditation for me which acts as my lifeline. Since 18 years I am into bonsai crafting and teaching ladies how to take care of them,” said Rama.
