Lessons from the Gita & Mahabharat made the day for ladies in the city

An interesting session on self leadership organised by the Lucknow Chapter of Ficci Flo with Dr Himanshu Rai, Director IIM, Indore, witnessed a full house. The event chaired by Surabhi Modi Sahai, had Dr Rai, who’s also been a professor at IIM, Lucknow in the past, floor the women with his gyan on how to manage life without compromising on one’s own mental and physical health.

Taking examples from the Mahabharat and Gita, Dr Rai explained the meaning of leadership and what it entails to be a leader, with shlok and anecdotes thrown in between. The one-hour session stretched to much more than that with a Q & A round summing it all up. Ladies were quick to note down the recommendations of books one should read by Dr Rai as desired by one of the members in attendance. The evening ended with high tea and people congratulating chairperson Swati Verma and her team comprising Vibha Aggarwal, Vandita Agarwal, Vanita Yadav, Swati Mohan, Simran Sahni and Smriti Garg, for an excellent and informative evening. A few special guests, which also included Surya Pal Gangwar, District Magistrate, Lucknow, were gifted plants.

Also seen at the event were Jyotsna Kaur Habibullah, Shachi Singh, Tanya Rastogi, Anju Narain, Priyanka Tandon, Madhuri Halwasiya, Pragya Agarwal and Vani Anand, among others.
