Lucknowites learn the fine art of bonsai

Bonsai enthusiasts from all around Lucknow made their way to a two-day workshop with Veer Choudary, organized by Avadh Bonsai Association. Originating in Japan, the art of Bonsai involves the transformation of plants into small trees, skillfully capturing the essence of nature in a miniature form.

Veer, a self-taught bonsai artist, who has been working on Bonsai for years and has been honoured with several awards, gave demonstrations on basic to advanced bonsai techniques. He gave away his tricks on how to work on bonsai more skillfully and explained how he uses different tools to get more aesthetically pleasing results. He also invited people to come and work on the bonsai as he guided them and gave feedback. “Bonsai is an art form that is so experimental and workshops like these work as an inspiration boost for all the artists,” said Renu Prakash.
