from the movie 3 Idiots? Well, the real life Phunsukh Wangdu, Sonam Wangchuk, who’s character was played by actor Aamir Khan in the film was here in Lucknow sometime back. The Magsaysay Awardee Sonam Wangchuk was here to attend a two-day annual conference organised by a private management institute.

Wangchuk also attended an event titled Know the real Phunsukh Wangdu held at an auditorium of a private institute in Gomti Nagar. Sharing his experiences with people attending the event, Wangchuk said, “My initial education was not done in any school but in the farm barns. I have seen seeds, leaves not in books, but in reality at the farms.”
