Recently, children in the city between seven to 14 years got a chance to be a part of a special winter
adventure camp
at
Kamshet
. This thee-day adventure camp introduced kids to a number of activities including rock climbing, rappelling, zip line, etc, and also included sessions about tying rope knots, team building and a variety of adventure games. Prateek Deo, who organised the activity shared, "That the camp was a learning exercise that also gave kids leadership training and encouraged them not only to pick up important survival skills but also to take part in a number of activities like kayaking, tent pitching, swimming, etc." Madhavi Dole, whose 13-year-old son attended the camp shared, "My son Anjaney really enjoyed being a part of this winter camp as he got a chance to try different physical activities like swimming and kayaking. Anjaney does not know how to swim but that did not stop him from attempting kayaking with a life vest on. The best part about the camp was it gave the kids a chance to learn something new, have fun and also taught them to be responsible for themselves." Yamini Dubey, whose seven-year-old son Rishaan, also was part of the camp added, "This is the first time Rishaan was by himself and got a chance to take part in a number of adventure activities along with other kids. He had to overcome a fear of heights to attempt the zip lining activity, and he did so easily in the company of other kids who were also part of the activity."
Learning survival skills and details about a relicPrateek also informs us that while kayaking was a major draw for all the kids, they also had a great time when one of the kids spotted a relic (a pillar of a temple). It led the kids to explore a scenic
trail
with
nilgiri
and neem trees, surrounded with butterflies
