, Navi Mumbai organized bike rally for helmet awareness and road safety with 60 bikes, 90 students and 20 staff covering the distance of 20 kms starting from the
Nerul
Campus of ITM IHM to Nerul Railway Station-Juinagar-Sanpada and back to the campus. The rally was flagged off by Arun Patil, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Navi Mumbai and Prof Purva Tawade, Principal ITM-IHM Navi Mumbai.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Tawade said, “It is indeed a proud moment for students of the Institute of Hotel Management to participate in the rally and spread awareness on road safety towards the significance of using helmets. People may feel uncomfortable in the beginning but patience introduces to good habits. The
Turbhe
Traffic Police supported the initiative with the Institution.”
Road safety education is an important ingredient in improving safety towards human life, reducing accidents, and fatalities from these accidents. The aim and objective of the event was to create awareness for safety measures while driving and educate the society which was fulfilled by the drive.
