Creative Ganesha idols and innovative displays and themes at pandals have impressed the expats big time who are on a pandal hopping spree. “There are quite a few small and big pandals within my locality itself. People organise cultural programmes, play a variety of games and stay up till wee hours,” said Noah Pellikaan from the US, who stays at Jaripatka. He added, “Every pandal’s Ganesha idol is different; yet all of them are so beautiful and creative.

Youngsters also danced to the beats of dhol-tasha played by the members of Shiv Sanskruti Dhol Tasha Pathak at Bezonbagh Ganesh Mandal. Hailing from France, Celyna Leconte, a student of Tuli Public School, said, “I’m quite impressed with their perfect co-ordination. I loved the energy of the players and those fast-paced beats can make anyone dance along.”
