Delhi Public School
(DPS), Kamptee Road, Nagpur is hosting the CBSE Cluster IX (South Zone) Athletics Meet from November 9 to 12 on their school premises.
The inaugural function of the four-day meet will be held on Wednesday at 10 am at the DPS campus.

, joint commissioner of police, Nagpur, will inaugurate the meet. Addressing a press conference, Akhilesh Chandra Chaturvedi, DPS principal, said all the preparations for the meet are completed and they are ready to host the prestigious event.
“Around 600 boys and girls of Maharashtra and Goa will compete in the competition which will be held in three categories – U-14, U-17 and U-19. Students from 50 outstation schools will vie for the top honours. Twenty schools from Nagpur will also participate,” said Chaturvedi.
DPS headmistress Leena Karkare informed that competition of various events will be held every day from 9 am to 5 pm. “We have also planned for cultural functions and other interesting activities for the participating students,” said Karkare.
The top performers of the Nagpur meet will participate in the CBSE athletic nationals which will be held in Gujarat from December 27 to 30. The hosts have made all the arrangements for the transport, lodging and boarding facilities of the students and their coaches. The
