#SSRcasefiles: Installation outside Sushant’s home in Patna a reflection of people’s love

wore a deserted look today. In fact, the entire lane was deserted when we visited the spot, as the area was a containment zone till yesterday. The black gate to the white bungalow was shut. On a gate pillar was a plaque that reveals that the bungalow, named Usha Singh House after the late actor’s mother, belongs to KK Singh and Sushant Singh Rajput.

What caught our attention was a wooden box installed on the boundary wall next to the gate. It houses a garlanded picture of Lord Hanuman and flanked by a tricolour. Though we couldn’t spot any neighbours to ask who installed the box, it was evident that the family had the blessings of millions of Sushant’s fans, his neighbours and other Patna residents. Evidently, they also took care of the fact that it’s Independence Day tomorrow and hence, the National flag.

It may be mentioned here that earlier this month, city residents had taken out a rally demanding a CBI probe into the actor’s death. That was before the bureau was handed over the investigation based on a request by the Bihar government. What irked Sushant’s fans in the state even more was the treatment meted out to Patna policemen sent to Mumbai to investigate the actor’s death following the FIR by his father.
