Students engage in various activities at Tarumitra
A weeklong festival, Van Mahotsav, concluded in the city recently. Various educational institutes participated in the events and performed various activities at the mahotsav, which was organised at Tarumitra. Devopriya Dutta, the coordinator of the event, said, “It was a grand event, which saw the participation of students, teachers, educationists, social activists and many environmentalists. Dr Ranjana Jha, a classical and folk singer, was also invited at the event. Her performance was loved by the visitors. Children were very excited to learn how to plant saplings and make organic seed bombs. We also distributed a variety of saplings. The best part of the event was when we

invited people

to adopt a tree on their name.”
