Rock the party, DJ!
The Bangalore Times Colour Nites extravaganza at Athena was one high-voltage event.
A young, energetic crowd was there well before the party got under way, waiting for DJ Akhtar to set the pace. And the Mumbai dude did just that, belting out one Bollywood mix after another, with a few Hip Hop numbers in between.
He didnt have to invite the party crowd to go ahead and have a blast.

The cheering and whistling never stopped and was at its loudest when he played a Washing powder Nirma remix.
There were a few romantic tracks as well, Akhtars way of expressing his joy at seeing such an enthusiastic crowd. Every corner of the venue was occupied, including the bar. Those who couldnt brave the crowd and reach the drinks counter, knocked backed the tequila shots that were doing the rounds.
We spotted Sandhya Jain (looking pretty in a frock) with hubby, Venkat, shaking a leg every time her fave song was played. Harsh Arya was there too, with wife Megha. It was a fab party and we really enjoyed ourselves. The music was awesome! Bangalore should have more such nights, Harsh said. We agree. Look forward to the next Bangalore Times Colour Nites at Taika, on Thursday, July 24, with DJ Greg Stainer.
