Ladies dance to the Punjabi beats

The ladies were in a buoyant mood at a party with a Punjabi theme. Hosted by a ladies’ club, the do was high on the entertainment quotient. Dressed in salwar-suits and other ethnic wear, complete with parandas, the ladies looked every inch the Punjabi kudis. The fun began to roll as the performances started on the stage. Ruchika, Ritu, Smriti presented a gidda adding to the energy of the evening. A hilarious skit featuring Reena Peshwani, Anu Mehrotra and Nancy Batra had some funny moments. Their interesting presentation of desi Punjabis versus NRIs led to roars of laughter.

The dance troupe from Delhi performed on some folk numbers that had the ladies clapping along. Pooja Madhok and Sonia Bhasin, the conveners of the evening, made sure everyone had a nice time.
