Ladies go traditional at this do in Banaras

The saga of saris was the theme of a ladies’ club get-together held recently. All the members could be seen in the six yards of exquisiteness. The event began with a peacock dance by a local group. What made the evening special was saris in varied forms draped by the charming ladies – right from the regional flavours to the modern fusion saris. But it was not jut the sheer glamour in fact, information about each sari from every region was also given, much to the delight of the ladies. "I was really amazed to know so much about our saris as I am a big fan of the attire," said Nancy Batra.

, who wore Assamese sari. The ramp walk was interspersed by performances. Hima and Monalisa, who were in their Bengali avatar performed on the song Dola Dola.
