The filmmaker talks about his film Khape
Amidst the lockdown, when all Gujarati filmmakers are waiting for things to get back to normal, those who have had their films ready are now planning a new strategy for their film’s release. Aditya Lakhia, whose film Khape has been ready, has applied for the

National

Award and also sent his film to several national and international film festivals like Cannes Film Festival, is now waiting for the right

dates

to release his film.
Talking about it, Aditya, who has been part of some iconic Hindi films like

Lagaan

says, “We had sent our film for the National Awards and we were waiting for the announcement before deciding on the release date. But now that everything will be delayed due to the coronavirus

pandemic

, we are planning for newer dates. We have waited for a long time to release our film as we wanted to showcase it in certain film festivals first. So, we would like to continue looking for the rights dates and not rush into releasing it as there is a lot riding on the film.”
