It never felt like we were doing a film after four years, say Janki and Yash about sharing screen space for their next Gujarati film

When Chhello Divas became a blockbuster hit, the onscreen jodi of Yash Soni and Janki Bodiwala was much appreciated. And it was that film that gave the Gujarati film industry yet another much needed push after Abhishek Jain’s back to back hits Kevi Rite Jaish and Bey Yaar. And after a gap of more than four years, Yash and Janki will soon be seen in Krishnadev Yagnik’s next untitled project.The film, which is in its last stage of post-production will show Yash and Janki in a completely different avatar.
Talking about coming together after such a long gap, Janki says, “After Chhello Divas, we didn’t meet very often, but we picked up from where he had left during our last outing together. And it didn’t feel any different this time.” Yash seconds her opinion, saying, “Yes, we didn’t meet to often in these four years, but when we started shooting for this film, it never felt that we were coming together after such long time. Of course, the readings before the shoot helped us brush up our chemistry.”
Yash adds that while Chhello Divas was about various characters, this film is more about three main characters where Raunaq Kamdar also plays an important role. “Chhello Divas was a very different film and this film is in a completely different space. The characters are more mature and it’s a very contemporary film. It was fun shooting together and I am looking forward to see how the audience reacts to it.”
