Manasi Rachh on 'Vickida No Varghodo': It's a co-incident to play a student again in my third film- Exclusive!

Manasi Rachh, has worked in many Bollywood films and TV series. He is known for his portrayal of Shruti Pathak in Karan Johar's film 'Student Of The Year,' and has made her Gujarati debut with Rahul Bhole and Vinit Kanojia directorial 'Vickida No Varghodo.'

When Etimes questioned Manasi about the challenges she faced while making her acting debut in Dhollywood, she says, "I had a lot of fun during shooting the film. It didn't feel like I was doing a movie in another language. Gujarati is my mother tongue, so even at home, the Gujarati language is spoken, but the industry is different. I enjoyed working on the set of the 'Vickida No Varghodo' for the first time, Rahul Sir and Vinit Sir who are National Award Winning Directors are just amazing."


The actress who herself is Gujarati stated her experience, "The first time I did a film in my mother tongue Gujarati, it was a lot of fun. I felt very comfortable and we have a different level of comfort when we work in our mother tongue. Because we can very well present the language, the words, the meanings, which we cannot do in another language. It was going to be very amazing and the filming was a lot of fun and a great experience."

Recalling her special moments from 'Vickida No Varghodo' and her song 'Udi Re' she shares, "You must know that the 'Udi Re' song of the film has been released recently. So I guess everything was very special at the time of shooting the 'Udi Re' song. Rahul Sir and Vinit Sir used to go to the location and while shooting this song we would first dance to 'Udi Re' song and then start playing Govinda's song. Since there was no choreography for the song, we followed this practice to bring out the best in us."

Further adding on her character, she says, "I have also played the role of a student in my first two Hindi films 'Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge' and 'Student of the Year'. And this is my first Gujarati film, in which I am also playing as a student. I can call it co-incidental, sweet, or nostalgic."

The actress speaks about her experience working with Malhar Thakar, "It was a great experience working with Malhar. He is a very talented boy and with the comic timing that he has, very few people have, who can catch the comic timing. So it was a lot of fun doing comedy while improvising. He is very punctual and very respectful. And as we discussed the scenes, rehearsed, and read, his professionalism was evident. It was a lot of fun working with him. He remembered all his lines and with such co-actors, shooting a film became very easy. He is a very good artist, having a very good experience collaborating with him," she smiles.

Talking about her plans on doing more Gujarati films, the actor concluded, "Yes, why not, definitely if someone offers me a good role then definitely I would like to do more Gujarati films. Last year I did a web film 'Milliner Zindagi' which was released on the digital platform. I have also done an episode of 'Samvedna -Moh Maya Machine'. So surely whenever anyone approaches me with a good and interesting script, I will accept the project and it doesn't matter to me whether the film in Hindi or Gujarati."

"In the end, it's important to have a good story, it's important to know who the makers are. What matters is the content these days as it is considered the king," the actress signed off.
