While visiting the old city, Barot loved the heritage walk, which began at Swaminarayan Kalupur Mandir and ended at Jumma Masjid, covering all the historic monuments and pols enroute. “I also loved visiting the iconic Lucky Tea Stall at Lal Darwaza and enjoyed the amazing chai and maska bun combination that a lot of people had insisted I should try without fail. ”

A visit to Lucky Tea Stall may surprise chai enthusiasts with an unexpected sight – 26 graves in the vicinity. The tea stall had its origins as a small tea cart under a neem tree, run by KH Mohammadbhai in the 1950s. Mohammadbhai considered the 400-500-year-old graves to be his lucky charm, & named his shop the ‘Lucky Tea Stall’.
