The actress shares, "Even though I have a non-Gujarati family background, I was born and brought up in Jamnagar, Gujarat. My mother tongue is Hindi but Gujarati is my third language. However, having had an early exposure to the Gujarati language, I can read, write and speak well in Gujarati. I might not be a Gujarati but as soon as you play Gujarati songs and feed me Gujarati dishes, the inner Gujarati in me is revealed in no time and I’m a Gujarati at heart."

Adding to the same, she says, "I made my acting debut with a Gujarati film. I was more than happy as my only goal was to act and language was never a barrier. It was not very difficult for me to work in Gujarati films because I had a good command of the language. I never had a specific plan of getting into the Gujarati film industry. I was auditioning randomly and bagged a role in a Gujarati film called 'Happy Familyy Pvt Ltd'. And this one was followed by Abhishek Jain’s 'Bey Yaar', in which Pratik Gandhi was my co-star. That's how my career in acting took flight. I have never restricted myself to any language or a particular genre. I want to have a filmography that I can be proud of. So I have always preferred quality over quantity.”

Lastly, she expressed her desire to be back on the silver screen with Gujarati spice. "Before lockdown last year, I had been shooting for two Gujarati films. One of them has been shot but we are waiting for it to be released and the second one was not completed so we are waiting for the situation to get better so that we can resume shooting for the same. The one movie which has been shot is very close to my heart because it is based on a subject that I strongly believe in and I hope the audience loves it."
