The shoot of Malhar Thakar starrer Kesariya gets postponed due to lack of permissions

had to stop shooting midway due to the nationwide lockdown in March, was all set to resume the remaining schedule of the film from today. The film that stars Malhar Thakar, Anshul Trivedi and Ritu Bhagwani in the lead, had a garba sequence lined up for its Ahmedabad schedule requiring 150 people to be on the set. And considering the current situation, the authorities refused to give permission for such a large gathering of people.
Talking about it, Dhwani Gautam says, “We have a garba sequence pending that we were supposed to shoot in Ahmedabad before traveling to Kutch for the rest of the film’s India schedule, but since the scene requires at least 150 people to be on the set, we were not given permission.” The filmmaker is now working out on newer dates to complete the remaining schedule of the film.
The film’s first schedule was being shot in Kutch before the lockdown and the film was right on schedule before it had to stop shooting. Dhwani, along with the entire cast was also going to fly down to Scotland for a 15 days schedule. With yet another roadblock, the overseas schedule also seems to be in limbo right now. Kesariya is a travel film where Malhar Thakar plays a tourist guide and Anshul Trivedi plays a BSF officer. Dhwani Gautam had earlier informed us that the film’s story has been loosely inspired by Dev Anand and Waheeda Rahman starrer Guide.
