The lockdown taught me to be patient: Netri Trivedi

The actress recalls how the lockdown made her feel
It has been close to a year since the nationwide

lockdown

was announced due to the pandemic. Actress Netri Trivedi talks about how she felt when the lockdown was announced, "Last year, right before the lockdown was announced, I was travelling. I had gone on a trip to Himachal and I was returning to Ahmedabad around the time when the

pandemic

had started to make its presence felt in India. I panicked a lot. I was convinced that the country would be ordered to shutdown and I would get stuck in Himachal. I somehow managed to return and was welcomed by the nationwide lockdown. I had never been locked inside my house for such a long time. It was scary to listen to all the news about the pandemic and to not be able to step out at all. A year back the situation had seemed a lot more difficult since were in the dark about the disease and how to deal with it. A year since then, we have accepted the pandemic and have molded our lives around it. We are better equipped now to fight the pandemic. The lockdown has taught me many things and it is because of it that I could spend my

quarantine

period so peacefully. After all the struggle, the lockdown did have some positive effect on me."
