‘Chhutti Jashe Chhakka’: 5 things you need to know about the upcoming Gujarati film

Cricket is a religion in India and the very fact that the beloved sport is the basis of the upcoming Gujarati comedy ‘Chhutti Jashe Chhakka’, makes it one of the highly anticipated flicks. After receiving a favourable response on the release of their trailer, the makers along with their leading star cast featuring Janki Bodiwala and Saurabh Rajyaguru, are aiming to hit the ball out of the park when they arrive at the box-office.

As with any other film industry, the Gujarati industry also has its fair share of movies getting delayed. Originally scheduled to release on May 25, 2018, ‘Chhutti Jashe Chhakka’ had been postponed to release on Friday, June 8. Our sources stated that the reason behind this delay was because of the awaiting certifications from the censor board.

The comedy features recognised Gujarati film actors including Saurabh Rajyaguru, Bharat Chawda, Janki Bodiwala, Hemang Dave, Maulik Nayak and Arvind Vegda. While Bodiwala and Rajyaguru will feature as a couple on-screen, Chawda will play Rajyaguru's ‘Nagdost’. Nayak, on the other hand, is portraying a supporting role along with Vegda.

‘Chhutti Jashe Chhakka’ lead actress Janki Bodiwala she will be seen rocking a traditional avatar. She will reportedly be seen donning a set of beautiful traditional Indian dresses and even a wedding saree. According to reports, her character's hot-headed persona will come to the fro when she learns of her on-screen partner, Rajyaguru's idea of getting into cricket betting racket.

Saurabh Rajyaguru and Janki Bodiwala will be seen romancing each other in the upcoming comedy. Their crackling chemistry in the film's song ‘Colour Colour Which Colour’ has made fans eager to see them set the big screen on fire. The two will play the leading pair and a look at their great chemistry in the film's song is sure to get you pumped up for the release.

‘Chhutti Jashe Chhakka’ is a story about two friends who get entangled in cricket betting and how things fall apart in their lives. The story reportedly follows The story sets on Sachin Thakkar, a cricket-crazy fan, well-settled family man, who in a bid to leave his middle-class life, influences his friend, Raj Nag aka Nagraj, to enter the world of cricket betting, to make a fortune. What follows next forms the crux of the story.
