Vadodara girls rock the entertainment industry!

Shrenu Parikh: From doing endorsements in Vadodara and small roles in serials like Gulaal to becoming one of the most popular faces in the television industry, this petite girl has surely come a long way. Shrenu, whose acting skills were appreciated in serials like Havan and Byaah Hamari Bahoo Ka, is now playing the female lead in the successful show Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon…Ek Baar Phir opposite Avinash Sachdev.

Tanvi Vyas: She did Vadodara proud when she won the Femina Miss India Earth crown in 2008. Since then, Tanvi has done two big-budget films down South-Telugu film Nenem Chinnapillana and Tamil film Eppadi Manasukkul Vandhai. She has also done TV commercials and completed shooting for a Bollywood mockumentary.

Kiran Acharya: The city’s most known face when it comes to Gujarati films, Kiran has quite a few hits to her credit and her on-screen chemistry with stalwarts like Hitu Kanodia has been loved by the audiences. She has also just signed her first Bollywood film.

Jayaka Yagnik: Jayaka, remembered for her stint in popular Gujarati serials like Chhuta Chheda and Narsinh Mehta, was appreciated for her recent Gujarati film Aapne To Dhirubhai, in which she played the female lead. And now, Jayaka has signed her first Bollywood film titled Hai Apna Dil Toh Awara.

Elisha Kriis: From winning college events to travelling the world as a TV presenter and now getting ready to play her first lead role in a Hollywood film, Elisha has achieved a lot in a short span of time. Elisha, who did a cameo in the Bollywood flick Wake Up India, will be playing the lead role in a film based on “the true story of an inspiring Indian lady”.

Bhoomi Trivedi: She became a household name after Indian Idol 5, where she made the top three and won hearts. However, the real big moment came when she was chosen by Sanjay Leela Bhansali for ‘Ram Chahe Leela’, the sensuous number from Ram-Leela that became a huge hit.
