Gujarati theatre is much ahead than Gujarati films: Aarohi Patel

who is playing the lead in this play is a great friend and I enjoyed watching the drama. I even saw his play Retweet that is having its run in the city and I loved it too,” she says.

On her favourite theatre artist, she says, “There are many – Bhamini Oza, Saumya Joshi, Pratik Gandhi, Jayesh More.” On whether her fans would get an opportunity to see her on stage, she says, “I have done theatre in college days. Right now, I cannot do theatre. It’s a very tough job.” Ask her on her thoughts on the medium and she says, “Gujarati theatre is an actor’s playgroun d. Gujarati theatre is much ahead than Gujarati films as far as experimentation and novelty factor is concerned.”

The actress says we have a flourishing theatre scene in Gujarat and we should be proud of it.
