The film is facing a tough competition from Hollywood film 'Black Panther', Akshay Kumar's 'PadMan' and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's epic period drama 'Padmaavat'.

The multi-starrer which also stars Rakul Preet Singh, Pooja Chopra, Adil Hussain, Naseeruddin Shah and Anupam Kher in pivotal roles revolves around the story of an Indian Army officer who is compelled to chase down his protege when the latter turns rogue and threatens to disrupt the country’s government and army and is said to be reportedly based on the popular Adarsh Society Scam.

Just three days into it nationwide release, and ‘Aiyaary’ has already found itself tangled in the piracy web. This came to light when commuters travelling by a government-run Shivneri bus from Mumbai to Pune, took offence and shared videos and photos of the film being screened. Aghast at the reports the film’s producer Jayantilal Gada vowed to take action and expressed his shock questioning how a government-run division could make such a mistake and give way to piracy.
