'Aligarh' earns Rs 2.25 crore in its first week

Despite getting wonderful response from the critics, Hansal Mehta���������s ���������Aligarh��������� suffered heavily at the box office.

The film starring Manoj Bajpayee and Rajkummar Rao opened at Rs 30 lakh amid competition from other Bollywood films like ���������Tere Bin Laden: Dead or Alive��������� and Hollywood films like 'The Revenant', 'Gods of Egypt' and 'Carol'. It made a total of Rs 1.40 crore in its first weekend.

It made Rs 2.25 crore in its first week.
