Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Pushpa 2 - The Rule, directed by Sukumar, continues its dream run at the box office well into its second week of release. The film earned Rs 725.8 crore in its first week and added another Rs 176.3 crore during its second weekend. However, it faced its first major drop on its second Monday, collecting Rs 27.75 crore as per Sacnilk, bringing its total to Rs 929.85 crore.

The film has already claimed the spot of the second-biggest hit in Indian cinema by surpassing Prashanth Neel and Yash’s KGF 2, which collected Rs 859.7 crore during its theatrical run. Allu Arjun now seems poised to challenge Prabhas’ supremacy, as Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion, directed by SS Rajamouli, currently holds the top spot with a lifetime theatrical collection of Rs 1030.42 crore. After 12 days of release, Pushpa 2 is just Rs 100 crore away from dethroning Baahubali 2, which has held the record for nearly eight years.

The big question now is whether Pushpa 2 can add Rs 100 crore to its total and, if so, how soon it will achieve this milestone. A closer look at its earnings reveals that the film’s Hindi version has been a major contributor to its box office success. However, the upcoming Christmas weekend will see the release of Varun Dhawan and Atlee’s Baby John, which might impact Pushpa 2's Hindi collections.

Baby John is a Hindi adaptation of the Tamil blockbuster Theri, starring Thalapathy Vijay. Given the increasing acceptance of South Indian films in the Hindi market, this adaptation might receive a similar positive response. The film’s songs have been performing exceptionally well, and Varun Dhawan is leaving no stone unturned in promoting the movie.
