‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ box-office collection Day 5

Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt’s romantic-comedy ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ raked in an approximate gross of around Rs. 7.25 – 7.50 crore on Tuesday (day 5) at the Indian box-office, thus taking its total to 61.25-61.50 crore nett, according to a report on Boxofficeindia.com.

The film which opened at Rs 12 crore, maintained a steady collection all though the extended Holi weekend. The Shashank Khaitan-directed film garnered in Rs 14.25 crore on its second day, Rs. 15.75 crore on day three and Rs 12 crore (nett) on Monday.

Badrinath Ki Dulhania

' marks Varun and Alia’s third film together after their hugely successful ‘ 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania' and 'Student Of The Year'.

'Badrinath Ki Duhania' sees Varun playing a small-town boy Badri who falls in love with Alia's character Vaidehi. While he hopes to tie the knot with Vaidehi, the feisty girl has dreams and aspirations of her own - marriage does not figure in her list. Based in Kota and Jhansi, the movie deals with the evils of a regressive society in the north Indian hinterland, and touches upon the subjects of dowry and patriarchy.
