'Border 2' box office collections Day 5: Sunny Deol starrer sees HUGE drop in numbers on Tuesday; earns just Rs 19.5 crore
The epic war drama 'Border 2', starring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty in lead roles, has seen a considerable slowdown at the box office on its first Tuesday. The film was theatrically released on January 23, 2026, to cash in on the Republic Day 2026 buzz.
The film that made the most of the extended Republic Day weekend witnessed a huge drop in collections on Day 5, which also happened to be its first regular day at the box office. Without the support of the holiday, the film collected just around Rs 19.5 crore, as per early estimates.
Border 2 Movie Review
These numbers were a steep decline from the film's Republic Day bumper collection of Rs 59 crore. The film on Monday not only recorded its highest single-day collection, but also saw the film register itself in the record books as one of the highest Republic Day collections of all time.
All eyes will now be on the box office to see if the film can maintain a steady graph and cross the Rs 300 crore mark at the worldwide box office.
