'Bunty Aur Babli 2'
has hit the theatres this Friday. Now, according to the BoxOfficeIndia report, the film has collected Rs 2.50 - 2.75 crore nett on its first day.
The Box Office numbers of the film have been helped by Guru Nanak Jayanti in the North and that is where collections are better by far.
The movie is a sequel to
'Bunty Aur Babli'
which was released way back in 2005 and did very well. The 2005 film was driven by the special song featuring
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
The report further stated that the first day collections of the sequel are also in the same range as the first installment. However, at that time, it was released on 475 screens while the new film has been showcased on 1800 screens.
The BOI report added that the collections of the film were behind 'Sooryavanshi' in all markets except Delhi / UP and East Punjab.
