‘De De Pyaar De 2’ box office collection day 15: Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh’s rom-com hits its LOWEST single-day earning yet; mints just Rs 85 lakhs
Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh’s much-awaited sequel, ‘De De Pyaar De 2’, released in cinemas on 14 November 2025. After a steady run, the film has now entered its third week and crossed the Rs 60 crore mark at the domestic box office. But with new releases like ‘Tere Ishk Mein’ and ‘Gustaakh Ishq’ entering the race, the rom-com has seen a clear drop in collections.
For the first time since its release, the film has fallen below the Rs 1 crore mark.
With a major age gap between the couple, several awkward and funny moments shape the story. Ashish tries his best to impress Ayesha’s family while also managing expectations from his own side, creating a mix of warm, relatable and comic situations. The humorous banter between Ashish and Rajji adds more fun to the narrative, keeping the tone close to the spirit of the original ‘De De Pyaar De’.

‘De De Pyaar De 2’ cast
The film is directed by Anshul Sharma and written by Luv Ranjan and Tarun Jain. It stars Ajay Devgn as Ashish, Rakul Preet Singh as Ayesha, and R Madhavan as Rajji. The supporting cast includes Gautami Kapoor, Jaaved Jaaferi, Meezaan Jafri, Ishita Dutta and Janki Bodiwala.‘De De Pyaar De 2’ review
The Times of India rated the film 3/5 stars. The review reads,“Ajay Devgn delivers a self-aware and effortlessly cool performance. He embraces the jokes about his age, turning them into a source of humour and humility. Even when called buddha or uncle repeatedly, Devgn wears it like a badge of honour, reminding the audience why he still commands screen presence. Rakul Preet Singh brings energy and confidence, complementing Devgn’s understated charm. However, their spark is dimmer this time, perhaps because the writing doesn’t give their relationship enough emotional depth.”Get an chance to win ₹5000 Amazon Voucher by taking part in India's Biggest Habit Index!
