'Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge', starring
Ranveer Singh, has entered its fifth weekend at the Indian box office with a noticeable slowdown, as the new release 'Bhooth Bangla' impacted its collections. Despite the stiff competition from Akshay Kumar’s horror-comedy, the high-octane spy thriller remains a formidable force, crossing the monumental Rs. 1100 crore net milestone. This unprecedented theatrical run has redefined success for the Indian spy universe, as audiences continue to celebrate the blockbuster’s historical achievements across global and domestic markets.
The film, which started its fifth week on a subdued note, collected approximately Rs 2.70 crore net on Friday. According to Sacnilk, it saw a strong recovery on Saturday with an estimated Rs 4.65 crore, followed by further growth on Sunday, earning around Rs 5.20 crore. This brings its fifth weekend total to Rs 12.55 crore.

'Dhurandhar 2' vs 'Bhooth Bangla'
While 'Dhurandhar 2' earned an estimated Rs 12 crore in its fifth weekend, Akshay Kumar's horror-comedy, 'Bhooth Bangla' scooped up an impressive net collection of Rs 58 crore. As per reports, the makers postponed their film's release by a week, on the request of distributors, to allow 'Dhurandhar 2' an undisputed run at the box office. Waiting till the buzz around the film decreased, gave the film an added advantage at the box office. This strategic decision proved fruitful as the movie attracted massive crowds across metropolitan cities, ensuring a strong start for the franchise.
