The movie tried to maintain the same pace on Monday as well; however, the movie saw a major drop on its 40th day at the box office. It missed the Rs 1780 crore mark worldwide, with earnings down around 69 per cent from its Sunday earnings.

'Dhurandhar 2' box office collection India day 40
According to Sacnilk, the Aditya Dhar-directed spy drama, ‘Dhurandhar 2’ earned Rs 1.05 crore on day 40, its 6th Monday across 2,808 shows. This number came after the movie minted Rs 3 crore and Rs 3.40 crore on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. The tally has now been pushed to Rs 1,131.64 crore net and Rs 1,354.52 crore gross in India.
'Dhurandhar 2' box office collection worldwide on day 40
The collections in the overseas market on day 40 stood at Rs 0.25 crore, as compared to the earnings of Rs 0.50 crore on Sunday. Now, 40 days after its release, ‘Dhurandhar 2’ has earned Rs 424.50 crore overseas. This brings the gross worldwide collection to Rs 1779.02 crore.

With an impressive paid preview collection and massive weekend opening, the first week earnings of 'Dhurandhar 2' stood at Rs 674.17 crore. The film continued to soar high and added Rs 263.65 crore to the tally in the second week. Thereafter, in week 3, it made Rs 110.60 crore. 'Dhurandhar 2' became the first ever film to earn over Rs 1000 crore net in Hindi. Now coming to the performance of the 4th and 5th week, the numbers saw a dip, and the film made Rs 54.70 crore and Rs 19.25 crore, respectively.
As the 6th week began, on Friday, day 37, the movie added Rs 1.55 crore to the tally. Then, as aforementioned, the weekend brought better numbers. The film minted Rs 3 crore and Rs 3.40 crore on Saturday and Sunday (days 39, 40), respectively. On day 40, its 6th Monday, the movie earned Rs 1.05 crore.
‘Dhurandhar 2’ vs ‘Bhooth Bangla’ vs ‘Michael’ on Monday
Monday didn’t only hit ‘Dhurandhar 2’ earnings, it impacted the earnings of its competitors as well. The Akshay Kumar starrer horror-comedy, ‘Bhooth Bangla’ again minted in single digits post the weekend surge. The earnings came down to Rs 3.65 crores on its day 11. Yet, it is the one that took the lead at the box office on Monday. The collection of ‘Michael’ stood at Rs 2.25 crore on
its fourth day. Further, Priyadarshan-directed 'Bhooth Bangla' earned Rs 117.05 crore in 11 days in the domestic market, while Michael Jackson's biopic made Rs 18.75 crore in four days in India.
